Refunds Policy
- Registration fee of £250 is included in the tuition fee and is non-refundable.
- Tuition fees (less £250 registration fee) are refundable under this contract only in the following circumstances:
- Cancellation of course by the college
- Withdrawal notified to the college more than four weeks before the start of the course (not applicable to overseas students).
- Students already in the UK who withdraw from the course, whether or not the notification has been made more
than four weeks before the start of the course, are also required as a condition of granting a refund not to have
used the college documentation to secure any advantage in immigration, financial or other areas.
- Students who have applied from overseas and have been refused a visa to enter the UK. Proof of refusal of visa, and return of all original documents provided by the college, will be required.
- In cases not meeting these strict criteria, the college may however at its discretion grant a discretionary ex gratia payment amounting to a full or partial refund outside its contractual obligations, according to the college's
discretionary refund policy (3 below). - Exceptional payments are made entirely at the discretion of the College.
This policy is designed for use in compassionate circumstances.
The principles of the refund policy are:
- Students who through no fault of their own, due to circumstances beyond their control, have been unable to follow the course, will be eligible for a discretionary refund.
- The college must be satisfied that the application is bona fide and is entitled to require specific evidence.
- Retrospective applications will not be granted unless circumstances made an application for a refund impossible at the time.
- The amount of the award will be calculated on the basis of the number of classes the student has paid for but been unable to attend, in whole terms: there will not normally be a refund for part of a term unattended.
- No refund will be made to an expelled or suspended student.
- Any student refused a refund is entitled to a written statement of reasons for refusal, and to appeal or make a fresh application. If this fresh application is refused no further application will be considered.
Confidentiality
The college is committed to ensuring confidentiality during the admissions process to comply with the
requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998.
